• NEW! The wider-width FG-4200
With a maximum web width of 16.5 inches (420 mm), the FG-4200 is a new addition to the FG-Line of mid-range UV-flexo presses. An 8-color version will run with a film package, allowing the machine to handle a variety of label and packaging materials. Introduced at the latest Chicago show, 'G' stands for 'Global', which means it incorporates features designed to give converters a competitive advantage anywhere in the world. For example, each of the print units incorporates dual servo-drives and the latest lightweight sleeve-plate technology. FG-Line presses are positioned between the modular FA-Line and the high-performance FB-Line. Manufacturing is split between Nilpeter's plants in Denmark and in the USA.
• NEW! World debut for the FA-6
The FA-6 has a maximum web width of 22 inches (558 mm). It is aimed at the growing number of worldwide converters, who wish to offer a comprehensive 'one-stop' label and packaging service to brand owners and packaging contractors. Nilpeter will show an 8-color version equipped with both UV-curing units and hot air driers for producing a variety of film packaging, labels, and carton board products.
• FB-3300S UV-flexo press with leaflet/label capability
An 8-colour FB-3300 S, which has a web width up to 13 inches (330 mm), will run with a combination of UV-curing units and hot air driers. The inline finishing functions will include a leaflet/label or booklet system for running promotional products. The print units allow fast adjustments and rapid anilox roll changes, aided by servo-drives for the principle functions. FB-Line presses have a top speed of 750 ft/min. (228 m/min.). The integral UV-curing lamp units are fitted with water-cooled chill rollers to assist the converting of heat-sensitive materials. Options include screen process and hot foil modules.
• What's best, an FB-3300 S UV-flexo press or a digital color press?
Nilpeter was chosen, as the only manufacturer of conventional flexo presses, to participate in the Technical Workshops, organized by Tarsus Exhibitions and covering the 3-day show period. Running an FB-3300 S featuring the latest HD flexo technology, the aim is to bench mark UV-cured InkJet, dry-toner and electrophotographic printing with state-of-the-art Flexo - all will run the same label job, using similar prepress/origination file data, over similar run lengths.
• Demonstrating integrated flexo/foil printing
Nilpeter demonstrates another off-stand FB-3300, this time on the Kurz US-stand, where practical demonstrations will show how different forms of block foiling are integrated in-line with conventional flexo printing.
