Nuceria invests in new technology

At LabelExpo Europe 2013, the renowned Italian converter decided to invest in yet another MO-4.

General Manager of Nuceria, Guido Iannone, explains the decision to invest, “We have deemed it necessary to enhance the production capacities at both our sites in order to become more flexible and to be able to offer our customers the highest quality”. Guido Iannone adds, “We want to be able to welcome new customers – with new product portfolios – and to that end we need the latest generation in technology. We must be able to make labels of a very high aesthetic standard”.

Guido Iannone goes on to explain that Nuceria’s sustainable investment will also ensure “extensive optimisation of workflows to increase internal efficiency, reduce start-up time and reduce production waste”.

The choice of Nilpeter as preferred supplier is based on a decision to only settle for excellence. Guido Iannone says, “We already have a partnership with the historical Nilpeter, a leader in the field of narrow web printing presses. The Nilpeter MO-Line is already present in the Nuceria plant. For years Nuceria has demonstrated how the MO-4 press perfectly combines the flexibility of combination – even with roto technology – with the absolute quality of offset technology (up to 11 print colou   rs) to meet the needs of each application.

The MO-4 acquired at LabelExpo Europe 2013 follows just one year after the latest MO-4 installation at Nuceria’s plant in San Giuliano Milanese . The new 11-colour, 420-mm MO-4 integrates offset, flexo, screen printing, as well as hot and cold foil to give to the Milanese plant the necessary flexibility to meet the company’s target growth within the personal care and beverage segments. The press will be installed this Christmas.
